Day 9: Drowning

So, let’s start today’s session, shall we?

yes. let’s.

Okay, so today we’re going to talk about the things you love, and the things you don’t. Tell me, what is it you love the most?

well, I like food. 

Yes, yes. Everyone does. What I want to know is, what do you love? What makes you feel extremely happy? Content.

water, i guess. i love the feeling of being in water. 

Okay, okay. And what exactly is it that you feel while in water?

happy? safe? yeah, i feel safe. like, in my zone, you know?

Aah, good. So, water equals safe, correct? That’s how you feel?

um, not exactly. i mean, i know it’s not safe, i know it can hurt me, and i guess that’s what i hate the most. like, the fact that the thing i love the most can end up killing me, you know. 

Wow, you really are good today. I’m not even pressing for replies anymore. This is progress, don’t you think?

progress would be if you could get me to stop water from being so unpredictable and scary. can you do that?

Hahaha. You’re really funny.

yeah, that’s what i thought. 

Okay, so you’re not scared of water, right?

not scared, nope. just hate the fact that it could kill me. 

That it could drown you, even though you can swim?
